Asia Argento grew up in Rome Italy. Her family is a group of actors, and she has also been pursuing both careers. Aged nine she made her feature film debut in the role of Sergio Citti in Sogni e bisogni. In 1988 she had the leading role in Cristina Comencini's first film, Zoo (1988), as well as being one of the actors in The Church (1989), directed by Michele Soavi. In 2002 she starred in The Red Siren by Olivier Megaton alongside Jean-Marc Bar as well as the action-packed film directed in the film by Rob Cohen, with Vin Diesel. Asia is also the author of a number of short stories, which have appeared in prestigious magazines.
